Pippa Barker has had a long and successful career as a children’s social worker and manager  working across children’s statutory services, not-for-profit sector and the computer software industry. She has a unique perspective on children’s services recording systems having been a user, an implementer and a product specialist. This has evolved into a focused passion for designing IT systems that practitioners want to use.

Pippa now has her own business, Cheviot Solutions, providing consultancy, business analysis and project management. Pippa works with organisations who are looking to improve the way IT systems and processes support practitioners and families and help the organisation to measure how the work is being done and what impact it is making. This is no small task; traditionally, IT systems have not put practitioners at the centre of their design and development, and organisations can struggle to create approaches to good recording practice and to measuring the work.

Pippa is delighted to be partnering with TurnellPlus. The work she and Andrew have done together over the last seven years has been innovative and ground breaking, offering a real opportunity to provide practitioners with systems that promote best practice to thrive.

Cheviot Solutions is based in the North-East of England but is able to work with children and family services and/or IT suppliers anywhere in the world.
