This online training presents the theory, logic and purpose of Signs of Safety group supervision. The training then explains the structure and steps of how this group supervision approach works bringing the method to life by demonstrating the facilitation and participation processes with the 25 participants in the training. Although this group supervision method was created with professional teams applying the Signs of safety the method can be used in any children’s services group context whatever the practice model that is being used. This group supervision method is designed to create a shared professional space for reflection and learning and is underpinned by findings from research findings about how high performing teams function and learn together.
People participating in the training will be encouraged to bring forward a case (anonymously) they are working or involved with, so that we can all directly experience the group supervision method with a current case.
This training is designed to assist managers, supervisors, learning and development leaders and practitioners in understanding the importance and value of good group supervision as the central whole system learning method for agencies whatever practice approaches, their agency is applying in the delivery of their services.
In advance of the programme commencing, all participants will be invited to answer a few questions to describe their particular interest and questions they bring to this training. Handouts will also be provided to all participants.
